Footer

The Footer is one global editing surface rendered after normal page content. Entering its dedicated editor changes the editing context; only an actual saved Footer edit persists a draft change, and publication remains a separate complete-site action.

Enter the dedicated Footer editor

Open the global Footer surface and confirm the Editing Footer mode before selecting blocks. Inspect the complete desktop column composition, but do not interpret a context switch—or an automatically visible unsaved indicator—as proof that a Footer change was saved.

Editing context versus persistence

Entering the Footer editor only selects the global surface. A draft change exists after a real block, layout, layer, or style edit is saved. That save still does not publish the Footer; a later authorized complete-site release is required.

Compose persistent information

Use the Footer for durable navigation, contact details, social links, legal information, newsletter actions, and the final brand expression. Group destinations by visitor intent, keep headings short, and separate legal links from primary navigation.

Blocks and links

Prefer Column Footer and standard Luna Text, Image, Button, Newsletter, Social Media, and Divider blocks. Verify every destination, label, form state, and external-link choice. Avoid duplicating the complete Navbar without a clear visitor need.

Adapt columns responsively

Compose on the 24-column Desktop grid, review the 12-column Tablet arrangement, and create a clear 8-column Mobile stack. Preserve reading order and balanced gaps as columns collapse. If groups collapse on Mobile, make headings obvious touch targets and test the open state.

Accessibility checks

Maintain contrast on the least favorable part of the Footer surface, readable link groups, visible focus, meaningful social names, usable newsletter labels and errors, comfortable touch targets, and a logical order when columns stack.

Common mistakes

Duplicating a global Footer inside a page; treating an inline pre-footer CTA as the global Footer; saving without testing responsive columns; assuming that entering the editor persisted a change; or publishing one page and expecting the global Footer design to synchronize.

Footer checklist

Dedicated editor confirmed. Information architecture clear. Links and forms tested. Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile order verified. Collapse behavior accessible. No duplicate local Footer. Saved draft distinguished from live publication.
