Dashboard Form Responses view with form selector, refresh, export, and empty state

Use this page as the forms lifecycle gateway

Form work begins in the site editor and ends in the selected site’s Dashboard responses view. Use the detailed block articles for individual editor controls; this guide keeps the complete handoff visible.

Build, configure, and test

1. In the editor, add a Form block for general submissions or a Newsletter block for email signup.

2. Configure fields, labels, required states, consent language, button text, and submission behavior in the block’s Properties panel.

3. Configure success feedback and any confirmation-email option needed by the workflow. Site-owned SMTP delivery is configured separately in Site Settings and currently requires the site owner and a Pro plan.

4. Save the page, publish only when ready, and submit realistic tests at desktop and mobile widths. Check required-field errors, success feedback, stored values, uploaded files when used, and email delivery.

5. Return to the Dashboard, open the site card’s Utils menu, and choose Form responses. Select Forms or Newsletter and the relevant form filter.

Plan data collection responsibly

Collect only information the workflow needs. Explain consent and intended use, avoid secrets in free-text fields, and define who may access, export, retain, or delete response data.

Test submissions can come from edit or published site sources and are labeled in the responses view. Keep form names distinct so filters and exports remain understandable.

Responsive and accessible use

Design the published form so labels remain attached to inputs, validation is expressed in text, focus stays visible, and the reading order remains logical after fields stack. Test with keyboard-only input and at a narrow viewport.

The Dashboard handoff view stacks its controls and response rows on smaller screens. Use the visible Forms and Newsletter tab names, the Form selector label, and button text instead of relying on icons alone.

Common mistakes checklist

• Do not duplicate the full Form or Newsletter configuration in the Dashboard.

• Do not launch without a real submission and response check.

• Do not paste SMTP credentials into a page block.

• Do not export more personal data than the current task requires.
