Lunasites is now in beta: Meet the visual website builder

We started building Lunasites because we kept running into the same problem: visual website builders are easy to use, but they often become limiting as a website grows. Traditional content management systems give you more structure and control, but building and editing pages can feel unnecessarily complicated.

We wanted both in the same product: the freedom to design visually and the structure needed to manage real content over time.

Design pages without fighting the layout

The beta combines a responsive visual builder, structured content management, publishing, SEO, forms, and Luna MCP. You can design expressive pages on a free grid, create reusable content types for articles, news, projects, events, and case studies, and manage everything from the same site.

This is not a builder attached to a separate content database. The page, its structure, its metadata, and the tools used to edit it belong to the same system. That means designers can work visually, editors can keep content organized, and developers can extend the platform without rebuilding the workflow around it.

Design freely across every screen.

LunaSites gives you a 24-column desktop grid, a 12-column tablet grid, and an 8-column mobile grid. Move, resize, overlap, and layer blocks independently at every breakpoint, or switch to Inline Editing when the content should behave like an article rather than a canvas.

The Style Panel keeps typography, spacing, backgrounds, borders, effects, hover states, and responsive overrides in one place. Reusable presets help a growing site stay consistent while every block remains editable.

A CMS built into the website builder

The CMS is not a separate tool added behind the builder. Pages, content, metadata, design, and publishing all belong to the same website.

You can create and manage articles, blog posts, news, events, projects, case studies, and your own custom content types. Content can remain private while it is being prepared and be published when it is ready.

This means designers can work visually, editors can keep content organized, and developers do not have to connect several different systems just to keep a website running.

Build with your AI

Lunasites works with compatible AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. You can use the assistant and subscription you already have instead of paying for another AI service built into the website builder.

Your assistant can inspect existing pages, create or update sections, work with structured content, and review layouts across different screen sizes. Everything it creates remains fully editable in Lunasites—not a screenshot, a locked template, or an exported piece of code that is difficult to maintain.

You can continue refining the website by hand in the visual editor. Changes are recorded in History, so you can review what was updated or return to an earlier version.

The AI helps you build faster, while you remain in control of the website.

Beta pricing

You can use Lunasites for free and build up to 10 websites. Free websites include all Lunasites features and are published on a Lunasites subdomain, such as yourwebsite.lunasites.io.

If you want to use your own domain, you can upgrade to Pro for €4.99 per month or €47.88 per year, the equivalent of €3.99 per month.

Connecting a custom domain is the only difference between Free and Pro. Both give you access to the visual builder, CMS, publishing and SEO tools, forms and submissions, SMTP configuration, and AI integrations.

Lunasites doesn’t sell or manage domain names. You can purchase your domain from any provider that offers DNS management, then connect it to your Luna website.

What comes next

The core platform is only the beginning. We are designing Lunasites as an ecosystem that developers can extend, improve, and build businesses around.

Satellites

We call our extensions Satellites: focused add-ons that bring new features to Lunasites without making the core platform unnecessarily complicated. They will be able to add new blocks, widgets, integrations, routes, and editing tools while remaining connected to the same content and design system.

Marketplace

We want developers and designers from around the world to contribute improvements, publish add-ons, and create and sell website templates. The goal is a marketplace where useful ideas can become real products for the wider Lunasites community.

E-commerce integration

We plan to bring products, storefronts, content, and store management into the same Lunasites workspace. You’ll be able to build and manage an online store using the same design tools and structured CMS as the rest of your website.
